How about pic's of the Wadkin. To the best of my memory I can't remember seeing one. I loved my Wadkin shaper though.

thanks dadude....lots of info from your guys and ZI really do thank you for it. If I ever get into a lot of production things I will be looking for something bigger, but for now I an trying to keep expensesdown reasonably. I think the Milbury will be ok for small face frames and the such. Now entrance doors might be another story but thats not in the plane for now. :D

another question.....what would be the thoughts of a saw blade in place of the sholder knives on the tenoning heads.....guess you can tell things are slow at work lol

COSTLY . Lets see it would have to be a custom blade with .875 hole and then 2 counter sunk mounting holes to attach to the head, side face of head would have to be machined flat to be safe then drilled and taped for mounting screws all this times 2. At best the improvment would be marginal .

Ok I guess I should go farther. I have no idea why spur cutters work so well because they just don't look like they should. I use a big selection of woods and the only one that has ever shown grain tear out is VGDF and it's going to show that no matter what. VGDF even shows grain tear out with a 140 tooth blade on my jump saw.
