Well I finally came to get my trash. It is amazing what you get when a factory goes out of business. I hope you feel a little lighter pete. After each auction I come home from I feel like the shop sinks, just a little deeper, into the ground from the added weight. Soon I will have to walk down into the shop.

yeah, yeah, whens the next load arrive? finally saw the O 399 in its glory, magnificent job pete, but Oliver Machinery was green in color? just a thought... gray was for ships hulls, i think

Gray and green are all fine, But I believe a color that sets a restored machine out is a deep shade of blue. And a little red or yellow trim accents help even further. I believe there is a jointer in Middletown with such colors.

Actually oliver painted their machine dark gray up until the sixties, when they switched to that odd green. Actually their green was not a bad choice, There is that osha green which is far uglier.

I never have claimed to be doing line item restorations. I take it upon myself to improve the original machines in all ways possible- Whether that be a visual improvement or a functional one (in a visually pleasing way of course)
