I have just joined the group, having become the proud(?) owner of a Hammond G4B saw, serial #7721. The saw is not in too bad of shape, but will require some refurbishing. As best I can tell, I am also missing several parts around the saw arbor:
The spacer, wedge plugs, saw head, saw blade, grinding wheel, grinding wheel nut, and through bolt are all missing. Any recommendations where these parts can be located? I can provide reference photos, but do not have a site to post them at. KRK

Welcome aboard and Congrats on the Hammond.
I think MR douglas is on the right track here. Unless you are using the saw for cutting lead type you will not need the cutters, and if you don't need the cutters, you will not need the grinding wheel- which is meant to sharpen them. The wedge plugs are solely used to hold the cutters in as well, I have run saws with out them with no problems.
So basically it sounds like what you need are the saw blade, saw head, and the through bolt. Like Mr Douglas I am not sure what the spacer is, If it is the spacer between the bearings, you definitely need it, might be hard to find, but shouldn't be too hard to make.
For woodworking I like Forrest blades. I run a 7 1/4" WW1. On the G4b you have to modify the table ever so slightly in order to allow for the 7 1/4" diameter. You can do it so it will never be seen in everyday use- just a matter of filing the throat slightly so the blade doesn't rub while it raises an lowers. I know mr douglas had a stack of brand new Forrest blades that he had custom bored by forrest to fit the hammond- a quick way to get the perfect blade.
I think you will find that the saw is well worth the effort of tracking down the parts. Also if you need a site to post photos at you can use a free site such as photobucket, there are excellent instructions here

First off, thanks to both Douglas and Pete for the quick responses. The spacer I was referring to is shown in the saw arbor cross section and is labelled as part number TS-1158. In looking at the drawing further, I now believe I have this spacer, as the Chip Guard is in place and would require the presence of the spacer. I will contact Douglas directly about the items he has available. I'm looking forward to starting on the project. KRK
