Thanks Pete. Smitty and Doug Westland are sending me pics and dims. Its a simple part a rod, about3 maybe 4 inches long rarused on one end and a wedged shaped on the other end. I can use the pathe at work to turn what I need and the mill to cut the wedge on the end. After that its back together with it and hopefully in two weeks the shop is wired and I can get to cutting some boards....Man I miss the sawdust aroma lol
----still looking for that illusive lathe---------but its so close I can smell it

Nice. I thought by your original post that is was going to be replicating a cast part- tannewitz's have a delicate cast yoke which is integral to the tensioning process. It would be a major project to remake.
Your part is an absolute no brainer make it yourself- You can make it as fast as you could even start looking for a used one. Nothing like having the technology to work metal, you will love your new mill, and when you get it, lathe. It is amazing how many projects like this that will pop up.
