You see. i do not run any air tools at least hardly ever. i primarily use it to blow off dust. which i do quite often throughout the day. I can't justify a big monster of a compressor and the last one i bought 5 years ago bit the dust. it was an oiless one from a box store.
a bit larger than you think you need is better, producing air also produces a tremendous amout of water which is not good for airtools and finishing, I use a 5hp, two stage with a horizontal tank, maybe 80 gallon coupled with a speedaire dryer and the dryer is the best thing I ever did for my air quality, i do use dynobrade air sanders and do alot of finishing, but still dry air is best, your shop is looking sweet!
