I am now the owner of a Hill Curtis A3 #1289 Trimosaw 1926, that I picked up in the Kooteneys ,B.C. last summer, it is all complete but has been sitting outside for some time. I have managed to get the bulk of it stripped down for sandblasting and am now concentrating on the sub components. Is there anything that anyone can tell me about this restoration that would be good to know, on this particular model ? Is there anyone out there with source for parts if need be ? I seem to have a problem removing upper and lower jig bars , as they are made of brass and could possibly be bent or could bend if too much pressure is used to remove. Any suggestions ? I have noticed that this site has the bulk of its posting for the newer Hammond Models, is there not much interest in the original Hill-Curtis versions. I am not able to post any pics at this time but for those who are unfamiliar with the A3, under the Owwm site there are pics and more info. I also just acquired a Hill Curtis A3 #1289 Trimosaw. It seems to be relatively complete, but is missing a few parts, including the motor and trimmer guage. It has the slide, but not the piece that mounts on it. Love to exchange some pictures once I get it back to the shop so we can compare machines.
