Hi All,
Just picked up a G4B today. It's missing the finger and micrometer gauge. Also, has some surface rust, but should clean up nicely. I need to remove the glider table to check/replace bearings.
How do you go about removing the glider? I removed the near side stop that was held on with 2 allens. I also removed the 4 screws holding the left side bearing rail into the casting, but was afraid to force it out.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

put the left side screws back in, they simply allow you to adjust the tension on the table.
once the stop is removed, you need to "bump" the table towards you several times. The balls will start falling out and eventually you will have a quite heavy table in your hands. Reverse the procedure to get it back in.
