When all of a sudden came a knock at the door.
I ran to the window, but couldn't quite see
So I peeked out the door, then fell to my knee.
I couldn't believe it, my face I was slapping
But as I got closer, I could see through the wrapping.

This wonderful sight stirred within me great joy
For Santa had finally brought me a toy.

He said with tilt, "I'm sorry I'm late."
"That's alright Santa, I'LL GET THE LOADING PLANKS."

With a flick of the wrist, the straps fell to the bed
I could barely control the blood-rush to my head.

Out on the porch, I will leave it all night
For when tomorrow comes, I'm gonna have to figure out how the heck to get it in the damn house!
