It looks pretty good to me but my Oliver knowledge is lacking.

Great find!
It looks like it is all there. modern oliver logo- so you know the cutterhead is is'nt a question. Local location and a good starting price. Long beds. A quick check of the serial number puts it in the 1965-66 range.
now it is time to get twisted
and start talking max bid. no time to be soft here. Go for that machine.

I specialize in being soft and I was almost hoping that you would say that it was a clam-shell. I am just kidding and I could use your advice on a bidding strategy. If you recall I did not do that well on the Tanny and in the end it was human contact that won it for me. Should i start with a bid or a dumb question to make cointact?

I was very impressed with that jointer. CT is very close to me... If it was only painted blue, it would be an easy switch for me to upgrage to long beds, direct drive and the little hand brake.
