For those unfamilar with the powermatic 68, it takes a 12" blade and has a 3 horse power motor. This one is a leeson motor that is Single Phase 220 only. The arbor is 1", so it takes standard blades. The top is large- the same top used on Powermatic's larger 72 saw it measures 38" x 48" wide.
As with all Powermatic saws this is a left tilt machine which is highly desirable for making angled rips. This was made in The USA and built in 1983.
The fence is a Biesmeyer. This is the longer bodied fence which is intended for this size saw. The rails of the biesmeyer have been cut short to the width of the body of the saw, giving 25" of ripping capacity. These can be replaced to allow more capacity.
Paint is mostly original, he has touched it up with some gold that does not quite match.
This is a real workhorse that would make a great addition to any shop. comes with a number of blades that most likely need sharpening.
