new jointer needed

my friend has a home shop where he has statred making furniture. he had a 6" delta jointer which he sld in order to fund the purchase of a larger one. Does any one have any suggestions on what large jointer he should get. he was thinking of getting an 8" grizzly. are there any 12" machines out there? any one have anything for sale?
