Hey all, I was just wondering if a hot tub motor would be good to use in woodworking machinery? It's a 5HP,230V,single phase,cont duty, 3450 or 1725RPM motor. I don't know if it can be wired for both CW or CCW rotation. Thanks
Sounds useful. It's probably an open motor which is less desirable as they tend to suck dust through them. Would probably make a fine air compressor motor- provided it spins the correct way.
