Check out these cutter heads at this IRS auction. I remember paying well over $300 for my 20" head. I bet Kerfoot would trade a little something for a cutter head. They are fairly close by (1 hr drive). I am going to bid on them if the price stays low.

cutterhead description
The cutterheads are on a cart that is around 20" wide. Ther are infeed rools (smooth and Segmented) along with other rolls of unknown origin. And on the front of the cart are 3 cutterheads with out the gibs (gibs are on anothercart in the auction) They appear to be just shorter than the infeed rolls (I estimate 16 "). None of them have the bearings on them. I can see the grooves for the knives along with a few adjustment holes. It is certainly an gamble.

have I bought
Hello Nico, I have not bought from them before. Jo has, and he is registered and all that with them. IRS is a broker of sorts for these companies selling off stuff. Often you go the the factory that is selling the item. IRS does have a wharehouse in Billerica. I keep tham booked marked. Some good stuff goes thru their site.

I am a little disturbed to see such a conversation about computers under a topic about cutterheads. This is a machine based web page here to discuss cast iron and steel. You should post your troubles with fruit elswere...
