Yes the 3450 motor will work, but You'll want to alter the pulley size. You can speed up the sfpm of the blade a bit, but you don't want to double it. I have a G4B That will be dedicated to woodworking. I'd like to swap out the 3-phase motor for a single-phase but am looking for input on HP and RPM. I have a spare 1hp/3,450 rpm motor here that might fit the bill but wondering how the increase in blade speed will effect cutting. Planning on running...
