I have an Oliver 166 16" jointer with a motor on head drive. In other words, the cutterhead is the motor shaft itself. I was thinking of having a new cutterhead machined, but need some specifics to get a proper quote. The diameter can be the same, but what about the slots in the cutterhead -how...

Pete - yes this is the picture I sent you. I thought that if I tried to straighten it that it might break off. What are your thoughts on the repair?

I am in posession of a 1924 Oliver 166 16" jointer with a motor on head drive. The cradle (for lack of a better term) that supports the motor and head is missing the rib on the outfeed table side. Perhaps it was broken when the previous owner did work on the head. The casting rib is missing alt...
