Hammond motor issue
I have a G4B. Motor and Arbor turn freely. Saw in very good shape, however when I run the saw it turns more slowly than I think it should and motor gets too warm for my taste. Any ideas

to elaborate a bit on what Mr D is saying... Most motors are dual voltage. A single phase motor may run on both 110 volts and 220 volts depending on how you wire it. The way of changing from one voltage to the other is by changing the configuration of the leads(wire coming out of the motor) There should be a diagram on the motor which shows the configuration for the low voltage and the high voltage. The diagram will correspond to the wires which are located in the fist sized junction box on the motor. Check this out and report back. Pics might be helpful too.
