new shop additions

Post by crzypete »

Well it's not old iron, but it is some nice organizational help. I also bought a 60" tall one last week.

Are you proposing a vidmar-bale construction- replacing haybales with vidmars to build the new studio? I kinda like it.

I have a total of 9 at this point- including the ones in the above two auctions.

3 59" tall ones
5 33" tall ones
1 freaky little 18" tall one, slightly narrower as well.

Sorry, it's pete gone wild time, add 1 more to the total, The Staten Island seller had a second cabinet which he sold to me for $250, that makes an even ten and puts a smile on my face.

Well, the rougher cheaper ones showed up yesterday afternoon. They are pretty rough, perhaps a mistake. I have made arrangements to get the nice ones next week.

Those in the midwest might want to check out this Ebay auction for Lista 9- and 5-drawer cabinets:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Lista-Modular-Stora ... dZViewItem

I think the reserve is $600 for the 9-drawer and $550 for the 5-drawer, but the seller is also selling locally and will take a bit less for sales made that way. They are only a few miles from me so I stopped by to check them out. They had around 50-100 cabinets left and all seemed close to new in condition with only a few dings or dents and all of the ones I checked out had various dividers in them.

One of them followed me home and now I just need to figure out how to get it to the basement and where to find space for it once there.

Mike, those are sweet looking, real clean. What size did you buy? How many drawers?

Reg,

What sort of help do you need?

Pete,

The 9 drawer model and it's something like 28x28x59. These are heavy buggers!

Reg,

Heck, I even had to pay them to deliver one 3 miles to my house, so that's more than I could handle. I do know that they've shipped these from IL to somewhere like CA so they should be able to help you out.

I thought I would update the post. The new additions have allowed me to clear out one of my older cabinets and dedicate it entirely to hardware. I really like hardware.
