BGR-78 Benchtop TRIMOSAW

Post by hmj6jmh »

Here are some pics of a saw I recently acquired, as requested.

Image
Front view showing the detachable unit mounted on the strip material cabinet

Image
Front-side view showing chip drawer open

Image
Tool Board with box-o-blades (9 spares), extra face plate and grinding wheel arbor - Extension Finger and Box Wrench not included (oh well . . .)

Image
Close-up of benchtop unit - extra half-nuts (4), extra cutters (many), and saw-blade tooth setting tool in bag

Image
Another close-up

Cost - $250 with dolly - marked down from $300

Great price for all of those Hammond goodies. If you are going to use the saw for wood I think you may need a Forest blade otherwise you are ready to go.

Sweet. I have never seen extra bronze half-nuts before, but it makes sense. I also like the factory stand, and agree with nektai about the forrest blade.

It would be great if you could reduce the size of the pics so the thread doesn't scroll sideways. Thanks.

I tried to resize them via html code but this site is highly dysfunctional so it doesn't work. BBCode also does not work properly. Note what happens when you quote someone. I will have to manually resize them and laboriously upload them again.
Reading the FAQ I see that html must be enabled by the administrator. Maybe you can have that done?

HJM, I keep the Html set to minimal functions because I do not like the feel of boards where individuals can create "web pages" in their posts.

Most photo hosting sites will do the resizing for you- shold be able to easily accomplish this. If it is too much trouble, don't worry about it.
