I specialize in being soft and I was almost hoping that you would say that it was a clam-shell. I am just kidding and I could use your advice on a bidding strategy. If you recall I did not do that well on the Tanny and in the end it was human contact that won it for me. Should i start with a bid or ...

Does anyone have any thoughts on this machine?

It looks pretty good to me but my Oliver knowledge is lacking.

Yates edge sander

This thing is a beast!!! It looks kind of nice in the first picture but by the time you look at the last picture it has transformed into a monster. I am sure there is junkie who is right for this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=57123&item=3863341458&rd=1&s...

The way that it breaks down is like this; the idle drum has room for the upgrade, so does the platen, the problem is the drive drum that is exactly 6". I wonder if they did offer an 8" version and just swaped out the drive drum? I am not going to do anything about it but it is fun to think...

New edge sander

I am going to try to post a picture for the first time while I show off my new Oakley H-6 edge sander. This one did not need much work but I still had to poke around the inside of it and as a result I can highly recommend it to all Junkies. My only complaint is that the drive drum should be taller t...

The shop looks fantastic!! I would love to see how the machines fit on the inside. Mr. Douglas I sent you a private message through the site, let me know if it did not find its way to you.

I think you can try anything you want as long as the dunk tank will return you to the original state. Worst case you try it and if it sucks you end up having to re-do the white after a fresh dunk.

I am new to this type of site. I have always lurked in the darkness without participating. Thertefore, as a beginner, I can tell you that it is quite easy to figure out. I agree with Guzziguy that ease of adding pictures would be nice (as you know I do not yet have any server space of my own) I woul...

That is fine with me. I have a long term plan for it. At some point I will take the Yates off line and fix a nagging problem with the bottom feed rollers (bad bearings and have to be replaced with new rollers and bearings). It will be nice to have the four poster as a back-up.

The same thing happend to me. It can cut so well, without snipe, that I do not know if I can part with it. I imagine that you are hot to be rid of it but this may not be the time because we are coming up in the Durango. I know that Crzypete is planning on packing it full of Schrade crap.

I am not proud to report the number is "0". I have got to do something about that. I suppose that a 16" or greater jointer will be a good quest for the New Year.
